Some walks don’t live long in the memory and this will be one of those. They are enjoyable but most probably because getting out on a Saturday morning is always good and the conversation is enjoyable. Spring this year has been dull and muddy. Today was no exception. We’re parking up in Chesham at 8am on Easter Saturday and, I suppose not surprisingly, we have the place to ourselves.
Not much to report about the walk. Overall, a relatively easy Chilterns walk which filled in some of the Chilterns we’d not walked before. We seemed to spend a long time walking out of Chesham and if I were to do this walk again (which I won’t) I’d re-route it so we parked nearer to the end of town. Nevertheless, an 8 mile walk before lunch is not bad going…and back to watch Watford once again throw away a winning position, this time to Burnley…another memory that I hope to forget!

Lovely photo’s. I am constantly surprised how quiet the Chilterns countryside is, despite close proximity to London and market towns. More the better I say!

Agreed! It’s always good to leave the busyness behind. I think we’ve become addicted to walking through the Chiltern countryside…it’s a great way to unwind after the week. On those weeks that we cannot get out I find myself even more grumpy than normal 🙂
