15th February
We’ve walked around here so much now that our walks just link up sections we’re already explored, at least for the first 5 miles of this walk. This generates much conversation about what happened when we were here last and what time of year it was. Who’d have thought our lives were so interesting! Still, the time of year and the weather make for a really enjoyable walk.
The highlights of this walk? The descent from Wendover Woods…some great views across to the Ashridge Estate and Ivinghoe Beacon, especially on a day like today…and the return along the canal. On a Wednesday afternoon in half term we have the canal to ourselves and enjoy the peace and quiet.

It looks lovely in the sunshine. It must look so different now. I imagine it’s been hit by the snow. I really like your blog. It’s very nicely laid out.
