Space and time…not enough of either!
With both Hannah & David back from university our house suddenly feels too small…and it’s hard to believe the first academic year is over…already! So, after the early service at St Luke’s, it seemed like a good plan to leave the mess of unpacking behind and go for a walk. This walk around Wigginton has been in our minds for a while. We’ve done sections of the walk before but never in this order (map). Parking up in the playing fields car park we loop round the back of the village and downhill towards the A41 and on to Tring Station. We have a picture of Hannah & David feeding the ponies in one of these fields (Garmin Adventure)…hard to believe that was New Year’s Day 2007.
Aldbury is a pretty Chilterns village and in spite of the dreary weather the village green still looks idyllic. The steep climb out of the village onto the Ashridge Estate has us both blowing but then a gentle descent to Cow Roast and the final climb returns us to Wigginton (7.1miles). Home in time to watch the afternoon Euro 2016 match, although still trying to get over last-minute goals!
