Lyndhurst, Hampshire

25th March

More celebrating of time this week…5 university terms completed…where did the time go?!

We’re down in Southampton to collect David so, after an enjoyable family breakfast with Kimberley in Portswood, we head out to  the Forest. This is the weather we’ve been waiting for; bright blue skies and a warm breeze.

We park just outside Lyndhurst, close to the The Oak Inn and walk south towards Brockenhurst. The paths are busy, well for the first part of our walk. Things thin out on the return as we take a more ‘off piste’ route. I lead confidently but struggle to convince everyone that this was the planned route! An enjoyable 10 mile walk, good company and a drink at the Swan Inn on the way home. A good way to start the Easter holidays.
