Crocker End

21st April

We’re back to Bix again…and the sump-busting, pot-holed, crawl along the lane to park at the Warburg Nature Reserve. We are determined to make the most of the sunny weather and this time, the walk doesn’t disappoint. It’s probably the shortest walk we’ve completed in quite some time but nevertheless really enjoyable!

Walking really brings you close to the changing seasons and Spring in the Chilterns is wonderful! In the last few weeks the drab browns of March have been replaced by vibrant April greens. It will be a week or so before the bluebells are out but you can feel nature revving up for the summer.

No hills to speak of on this walk, so an easy stroll…but the light and shade, the early morning mist and quiet Chiltern lanes and footpaths make the time fly. Before we realise it we’re back at the car. A 5 mile walk in the sun!
